Q: Is Membership tax-deductible?

A: YES. The full value of your Membership is tax-deductible. Salastina is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, Tax ID 83-4248512.

Q: Membership used to include tickets. Why did you change this? 

A: We’re glad you asked! There are a few reasons. 

Thanks to your support, Salastina has grown considerably in the past year. Our community of Members has more than doubled since our last live, in-person performance pre-pandemic. 

One of our challenges in coming back to live performances was this: how do we maintain the intimate feel that’s so important to us while accommodating this growth -- and maintaining appropriate COVID safety measures?

The best solution: to give our most loyal community -- our Members, old and new -- the first chance to buy tickets at a discounted rate before opening sales to the general public. Friend-level Members and above are entitled to a 20% discount off the regular ticket price.

Thanks to the doubling of our Membership program, we are streamlining our processes for our small but mighty staff. This change simplifies and streamlines the process on your end, too: there’s now a clear separation between what’s tax-deductible (read: the full value of your Membership) and what isn’t (read: concert tickets). 

Q: I joined at a time when Membership still included tickets. Will you honor the tickets included in my Member level at the time that I joined/renewed? 

A: Membership no longer includes tickets. Please note that the full value of Membership is now tax-deductible as a result of this change. 

Your Membership now includes guest passes to concerts to share with friends and family without affecting the tax deductibility of your gift. You may use any of the free guest passes that correspond to your Member level however you wish throughout the season.

Q: Can I use my guest passes for myself?

A: No. It’s tedious to explain, but this would affect the tax-deductibility of your gift. Your guest passes are for you to share others. If and when you do, we’ll have a special surprise for you at will call!

Q: How do I activate my 20% discount off full-priced tickets?

A: You must be logged into your account on our site. If you’re not, the system won’t recognize you, and the option of a discount won’t appear. If you need any help with this, contact us at (323) 332-6874 or salastina@salastina.org

Q: I’m a recurring Member. How can I change/update my credit card or change my donation amount?

A: Please login to your account here and click on your recurring donation to edit the desired details (date, $, frequency, etc). Need to add a new credit card? Make a new recurring donation and cancel the OG (in any case, you can only have one recurring donation per account).
