Mer currently holds the chair of Assistant Principal Viola in The Pacific Symphony. before the completion of her senior year at Oberlin, she won her first orchestral audition, and consequentially a seat with the Pacific Symphony — moving up into her current post in 2012. Additionally, she has been performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 2010.
Brian has been Salastina’s musical docent since the 2012/2013 season. A DJ for Classical KUSC, his work has been broadcast internationally by NPR, American Public Media, and the WFMT Radio Network. He's interviewed dozens of top artists, including: Gustavo Dudamel, Itzhak Perlman, Dawn Upshaw, Placido Domingo, John Adams, and many others.
Ben was recently appointed Principal Flutist of the Pacific Symphony. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Russia, and Japan. He won First Prize at the Haynes International Flute Competition and James Pappoutsakis Memorial FluTe Competition, and Second Prize at the New York Flute Club Young Artist Competition.
