Nicholas Ma

Nicholas Ma is a pianist-composer whose recent accolades include a 2022 SOCAN Young Composer Award in the Under 21 Choral Category, two consecutive Student Composer-in-Residence positions for the McGill Brass Quintet (2022/23) and Schulich Singers (2023/24), and a commission from the Coalition for Music Education in Canada to compose a piece to be sung by hundreds of thousands of children in schools and communities across Canada as a part of Music Monday 2022/23. Currently pursuing a double major in Composition and Piano Performance at McGill, Nicholas also serves as Vice-President of the McGill Association of Student Composers.
